United States set the pace in Squad 1/3 on the final day of Trios at Men's World Championships

Starting the day in 9th place among 109 trios from 57 countries and fourth in Squad 2, the Americans rolled games of 643, 672 and 706 to move past overnight leader England, Philippines and Japan with 3826 six-game total and an average of 212.56. Qatar is second with 3718, with Mexico third 1899 and overnight leader England fourth 3694.

  Dominic Barrett, Mike Quarry and Stuart Williams (l.) led the field of 109 trios from 57 countries after the first 3-game block on long oil at the Men's World Championships in Thailand. The Englishmen felled 1955 pins, an average of 217.22. Places two and 3 belong to Finns Mika Koivuniemi, Pasi Uotila and Osku Palermaa (r.) with 1885, while Swedes Tomas Leandersson, Martin Larsen and Robert Andersson sit in third at 1854. Rounding out the top 4 are Filipinos Chester King, Biboy Rivera and Paulo Valdez with 1852. All trios return on Monday for the second block on short oil.
