Marcelo Suartz wins XIX Copa AMF Brazil

Represents Brazil in 46th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Zagreb, Croatia

2007BWCMarceloSuartz_small.jpgMarcelo Suartz won the XIX Copa AMF Brazil to earn the right to represent his country in the 46th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup at Bowling 300 Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia (Oct. 15-24, 2010). In the title match of the five player stepladder final, Suartz, the No. 1 seed, flew past #5 Fernando de Azevedo, 246-188, to win his second berth into the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup. Suartz' 7th place finish including a 217.68 average over 40 games at the 43rd BWC in St. Petersburg, Russia, was the best performance of a Brazilian bowler in the BWC history.

WTBA Presidium has withdrawn the award of WWC 2011 to Malaysia

URGENT! - Invitation to host WWC and the Congresses 2011

WTBALogo_small.jpgThe World Tenpin Bowling Association Presidium has announced that it has withdrawn the award of the Women's World Championships 2011 to Malaysia as it has not been possible to agree on a written contract about the championship and the Congresses. Because the WTBA Presidium had to withdraw the WWC 2011 from Malaysia it now invites all WTBA member federations to apply to host the world championship and the WTBA/FIQ Congresses in conjunction with the championship.
