USA squad selected for World Youth Championships

2010WYCLogo_small.jpg Eight up-and-coming bowlers will follow in the footsteps of stars such as Kelly Kulick and Tommy Jones by representing Junior Team USA at the 2010 World Tenpin Bowling Association World Youth Championships in Helsinki, Finland, next month. The World Youth Championships will take place at Tali Bowl in Helsinki from July 24-Aug. 1 and will feature bowlers from an estimated 48 countries. The 11th installment of this great biennial tournament is for national junior team members who must not have reached the age of 21 years on January 1, 2010.

Entry deadline has been extended until June 15, 2010

The World Tenpin Bowling Association and the host federation, German Bowling Union (DBU) have informed that the extended entry period for the 2010 Men's World Championship is over. Record 69 countries have submitted entry forms for more than 380 players, who will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, Trios, Team, All-Events and Masters from Aug. 11 through 22, 2010. The 2010 MWC will be staged at 52-laner Dream-Bowl Palace in Unterföhring near Munich, Germany, which is the biggest bowling center in Europe. Bowlingdigital will cover the event live including live streaming from all playoffs and the Masters.
