Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress appeals once again to CAS

WTBALogo_small.jpgOn Sept. 20th, the World Tenpin Bowling Association has informed all WTBA member federations that the Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against WTBA Presidium decision, to withdraw WWC 2011 from Malaysia. CAS is an international arbitration body set up to settle disputes related to sport. As reported on May 11th, the WTBA Presidium has withdrawn the award of the Women's World Championships 2011 to Malaysia.

Dutch national team members Phil Hulst and Nicole Sanders (l-r) emerged victorious after 10 games of qualifying and best-of-three games single-elimination finals on challenging lane condition. Both winners will make their World Cup debut Oct. 15-24 in Toulon, France.

Manico will be competing for the 9th time, while Ancarani will make his World Cup debut. 52 men and 19 women advanced through regional qualifying tournaments and qualified for the finals which were held from Sept. 3-5 at a 12-laner in Martigny, canton Valais in the southwestern part of Switzerland.
