WTBA World Bowling Tour to feature USBC Masters

USBCMasters_small.jpgWTBALogo.jpgThe USBC Masters will be a part of the new 2011 WTBA World Bowling Tour bringing the signature USBC event even more visibility internationally. The Masters, which will be contested Feb. 7-13 at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev., is one of five founding events that will be a part of the new tour, which links events from the American, European and Asian zones.

Eurosport announces TV schedule for QubicaAMF World Cup finals

Eurosport is a European sports satellite and cable network, available in 59 countries and broadcasting in 20 different languages.

5 to 7 events on the initial calendar with minimum of USD 100,000 prize fund each

WTBALogo_small.jpgThe World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) will launch a new World Bowling Tour in 2011 bringing a professional structure to bowling events and enhancing the experience for athletes, fans and media around the world. The WTBA World Tour will be integrated with existing successful events from around the world linking events currently held in France (Brunswick Euro Challenge), Finland (Brunswick Ball Master), Kuwait (Kuwait Open) and the U.S. (USBC Masters), along with a new event in Thailand.

The Englishman won the first game in best-of-three format 246-205 but Schmidt, who was looking for his second World Cup title after 2005, leveled the match with a 212-207 win in game #2 to force a deciding third game.

However, when the Korean left a 6-7-10 split and was unable to convert it, Guerra got up and struck out in the 9th and 10th frame to level the match with a 202-196 win and to force a decider.
