Asbaty, Jones headed to South Africa for World Cup

The 47th QubicaAMF World Cup, the final event on the Team USA schedule in 2011, begins Thursday in Johannesburg, South Africa, with more than 80 countries expected to take part. The World Cup begins with official practice Wednesday, Nov. 30.

World Bowling Tour's Bahamas Classic moves from February to May 2012

WBTLogo_small.jpg The first World Bowling Tour event in the American Zone outside of the United States, the Bahamas International Bowling Classic 2012, has changed the dates. The inaugural event, which was scheduled for Feb. 27-March 4, will now be held May 14-20 at Mario's Bowling and Entertainment Palace, a new 50-lane bowling center in Nassau. The 2012 World Bowling Tour currently features 14 tournaments in ten countries.

In the men's final, Koivuniemi defeated Sean Rash of Montgomery, Ill., 237-224, while Dorin-Ballard defeated Sandra Andersson of Sweden, 207-162 for the women's title. The winners took $10,000 each.
