WTBA appoints TSE Consulting to drive international recognition

2011WTBALogo_small.jpgThe World Tenpin Bowling Assocoation has appointed TSE Consulting to assist them in improving their recognition worldwide and particularly within the world of international sport. Working in cooperation with TSE, WTBA wants to enhance the organization's image as the worldwide governing body of bowling and strengthen its position as a recognized Olympic sport. TSE Consulting has a wide-scale understanding of developing global recognition for international sports organizations.

World Tenpin Bowling Association Executive Board meeting and decisions

2011WTBALogo_small.jpgThe Executive Board of the World Tenpin Bowling Association, Tenpin Bowling's governing body, met during the World Youth Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 21-22. The Executive Board made decisions on Betting, Tie Rules in World Championships, Entry Fee in World Championships, Athlete Vote, Lane Mapping and World Senior Championships (WSrC) - some of them By-Laws with specific dates to be effective.

Daniëlle van der Meer and Michell Stinissen (r-l) won the women's and men's title in the highest division and will represent their country at the 2012 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Poland. In the women's title match, Van der Meer defeated defending champion Wendy Kok, 2-1, while Stinissen topped Sven Steenbekkers, 2-1, for the men's title.

Fransson, seeded third, defeated No. 4 Chris Via, USA, 206-198, to capture the first gold medal for Sweden in this championship. In the semifinals, Via cruised to a 246-180 victory over All Events champion Sam Cooley of Australia, while Fransson equally easily sidelined two-time gold medalist Marshall Kent, USA, 242-202.
