broadcasted live on Eurosport 2. In the opening match, No. 3 Zulmazran Zulkifli, Malaysia , topped No. 4 seed Ildemaro Ruiz, 230-202, before he was eliminated by Thurlby in the semifinal, 233-194. Brunswick has announced the tentative TV schedule for Eurosport 2 Northern and Eastern Europe, British Eurosport 2 and Eurosport Asia Pacific.

The 2010 Brunswick Euro Challenge, a European Bowling Tour Gold tournament, drew 448 players from 34 countries. Among the 351 men were 33-time PBA champion and 2-time PBA Player of the Year, Norm Duke, 32-time PBA champion and 2-time PBA Player of the Year, Parker Bohn III, reigning U.S. Open champion and runner-up in the 2009-10 PBA Player of the Year race, Bill O'Neill. A total of eight 300 games were rolled during the Brunswick Euro Challenge at 28-laner Le Plaza Bowling in Saint Maximin, France (March 5-14, 2010). Seven by men, Kimmo Lehtonen (FIN), Mike Fagan, Norm Duke, Parker Bohn III, Bill O'Neill (all USA), Mathieu Berges (SUI) and Frederik Øhrgaard (DEN), and one by a woman, Evgeniya Smirnova, Russia. The top 16 qualifiers, seeded 1-16, met the 16 survivors from Round 1, seeded 17-32, in the match play Round of 32 in the Brunswick Euro Challenge at Le Plaza Bowling in Saint Maximin, France. The first round of the finals in the Brunswick Euro Challenge featuring players placed 17 through 64 after qualifying started 7.45 a.m. at Le Plaza Bowling in Saint Maximin, France. Dane Frederik Øhrgaard (l.) fired games of 245, 255, 269, 276, 238 and 277 to lead the
round with 1560 pinfall total and an average of 260. U.S. Open champion Bill O'Neill (r.) rolled the tournament's 8th 300 game. The top 16 will meet the top 16 qualifiers in the single-elimination Round of 32. 
Anthony Pepe, United States, won the qualifying of the 2010 Brunswick Euro Challenge at Le Plaza Bowling in Saint Maximin, France. The American overtook the lead in the 10th of 23 qualifying squads and never looked back. Pepe led the field of 448 players - 361 men and 97 women - with 1572 six-game total and an average of 262.00. Defending champion Mike Fagan, also USA, was second with 1555. Mikael Kanold, Sweden, took the 52nd and final spot with 1407 (234.50). 
For the third consecutive year the 2010 Brunswick Euro Challenge was held in Saint Maximin near Paris, France. Qualifying ran from March 5-13, 2010 at 28-laner Le Plaza Bowling. The tournament was the fifth event of the 2010 European Bowling Tour and one of the Tour's "Gold" tournaments. Another six players Adam Michaels (l.), England (1459), Ildemaro Ruiz, Venezuela (1455), Mik Stampe, Denmark (1445), Evgeniya Smirnova (r.), Russia (1439), Dennis Eklund, Sweden (1430) and David Canady, Germany (1423) moved into the top 52 in the qualifying of the Brunswick Euro Challenge during the penultimate Squad 22. Qualifying cends with Squads 23 scheduled for 8 p.m. CET and with the ultimate one-game Desperado Squad at 11.30 p.m.
Last year's third-place finisher and women's ranking winner Mai Ginge Jensen (l.), Denmark, led Squad 21 Saturday afternoon with 1480 including 48 pins handicap, to move into the top 10 in the overall qualifying standings in the 2010 Brunswick Euro Challenge. Rob Thurlby (r.), England, was mere 18 pins behind Ginge to crack the top 16 with 1662, good for 14th place. Anthony Pepe, United States, leads the 442-player field with 1572 (262 avg.). 
32-time PBA champion Parker Bohn III (pictured left), United States, fell out of the top 16 in the Brunswick Euro Challenge on Friday, but regained his spot in Squad 20 on Saturday morning. Bohn was only 98 pins over a 200 average after four games but closed out his six-game block with 279 and 300 to jump into 10th place in the overall standings with 1477 pinfall total and an average of 246.17. In 48th place with 1386 six-game total, 33-time PBA champion and Hall of Famer Norm Duke (pictured) was in danger to miss the first cut in the Brunswick Euro Challenge at Le Plaza Bowling in Saint Maximin, France. Duke put on a show in the 18th qualifying squad on Friday night and became the fifth player who has cracked the 1500-bar. Duke checked in with 1515 six-game total, an average of 252.50, en route to move into fifth place in the overall qualifying standings. Anthony Pepe, United States, continued to lead the 428-player field with 1572 (262 avg.). 
Four players moved into the top 52 in the 17th qualifying squad of the Brunswick Euro Challenge on Friday afternoon. There were no changes among the top 16 and Anthony Pepe, United States (pictured) continued to lead the 409-player field with 1572 (262 avg.). Squad 17 leader Dennis Vrabac posted 1424 en route to leap into 24th place. Patrick Bohm, both Sweden, was next with 1394, good for 41st place. Mika Luoto, Finland and Tomas Leandersson had 1387 and 1385 to top Peter Ljung, both Sweden, who is 52nd with 1384, by 3 and 1 pin. 
Two-hander Osku Palermaa (l.), Finland, had high games of 277 and 266 and four games between 245 and 249 in Squad 16 on Friday afternoon to storm into third place in the qualifying of the Brunswick Euro Challenge in France. Mathieu Berges (r.), Switzerland, and Eugeniya Smirnova, Russia, rolled the third and fourth 300 game of the tournament. Anthony Pepe and Mike Fagan, both USA, remained in 1st and 2nd place with 1572 and 1555, resp.

by 4 pins to win Squad 13 with 1444 to 1440. The 2006 World Doubles
champions moved into 11th and 12th place in the overall qualifying
standings. 
Anthony Pepe (l.), United States, fired games of, 299, 258, 217, 245, 297 and 256 in Squad 10 on Thursday morning to shoot into the lead in the Brunswick Euro Challenge with 1572 and an average of 262.00. Pepe had the front 11 in the first and fifth game but failed to roll the tournament's first 300. Kimmo Lehtonen (r.) accomplished the feat in the first game of Squad 11 and defending champion, Mike Fagan, United States, matched the feat five games later. 
PBA Women's Series exempt player Carolyn Dorin-Ballard (l.) led Squad 8 on Wednesday afternoon to move into 4th place in the overall qualifying standings in the Brunswick Euro Challenge currently underway at Le Plaza Bowling in Saint Maximin, France. Adrian Ang was the best of three Malaysians atop Squad 9 with 1479 to remain in third
position. Nico Joris, Belgium, leads the field since Squad 3 with 1518 six-game total and an average of 253.00.
