In the women's title match, Bartaire swept Isabelle Derynck, two-games-to-none, in the best-of-three games format to claim her first berth into the BWC. Sacco will represent his country for the fourth time after 2005 (Slovenia), 2006 (Venezuela) and 2009 (Malaysia) thanks to a 2-1 victory over Jonathan Lefevre.

Aviram, Volpert, Mizrachi, Antin to bowl for Israel in inaugural World Singles Championships

2012WSCIsraeliQualifiers_small.jpgOr Aviram and Nati Volpert in the men's division and Sarit Mizrachi and Shahaf Antin in the women's division will represent Israel in the inaugural World Singles Championships Sept. 18-26, 2012 in Limassol, Cyprus. 19 men and just three women participated in the qualifying tournament Beginning in 2012 the World Singles Championships will be held every four years. The new event gives WTBA a world championship event every year, filling a void created under the previous calendar.

Heidi Thorstensen and Patcharin Torgersen took the women's Doubles titles, while Bjørn Einar Rudshagen and Jonas Sjøgren set a new national record to win the men's Doubles gold. The 2012 Norwegian Nationals drew 287 players.

The men's finals were highlighted by bach-to-back 300 games by Widmer and second-place finisher, Sandro Ancarani.

The winners will represent Kazakhstan in the 2012 Bowling World Cup in Poland. Sazonov led the men's division with 4148 pinfall total including 135 bonus pins to earn his first career BWC berth. Grishinenko dominated the women's field and finished 442 pins ahead of her nearest competitor.

The four time EBT point ranking leader (2007-09, 2011), who finished third in the QubicaAMF Open in the past years, pocketed the received the 6.000 Euro top prize and 100 ranking points, which propelled him into third place in the current EBT men's point ranking.
