It is likely that the WRM will not continue past 2009
Chan Shuk Han of Hong Kong, China, and Hussain Al-Suwaidi, UAE, finished the 2008 Asian Bowling Federation ranking season atop the women's and men's leaderboard. The top 8 women and the top 8 men from the 2008 ABR Rankings will meet with their counterparts from Europe and America at the 2009 World Ranking Masters, April 27 through May 3 in Naples, Italy. As there is no sponsor for the 2010 World Ranking Masters at the horizon it is likely that the WRM will not continue past 2009.

On the men's side, Al-Suwaidi has a huge 515 ranking point total and holds a dominating 182 point lead over Zulmazran Zulkifli, Malaysia, who is second with 333.
