United States (host), Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Canada, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica qualify for the 2013 WTBA Combined World Championships

Pluhowsky, the reigning World Champion in Masters, defeated teammate Liz Johnson, 238-226, to win the women's title, while Lambert fired a perfect game in defeating Puerto Rico's Francisco Colon, 300-175, at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center in suburban Las Vegas.

Team USA sweeps Team and All Events gold medals at PABCON Championships

2012PCLogo2_small.jpg The Team USA men and women swept the gold medals in Team and All Events Friday at the 2012 PABCON Adult Championships. The U.S. women broke the record for six-game team total with 6,713 as they rolled to the gold medal by 256 pins over Mexico. The Team USA men shot 6,687 and finished 194 pins ahead of Mexico. Bill O'Neill and Liz Johnson captured the gold medals in All Events. The top 24 men and top 24 women in the All Events standings advanced to Saturday's Masters competition.

U.S. men and women lead team event after 3/6 games at PABCON Combined Championships

Team USA's Liz Johnson and Canada's George Lambert IV take over lead in All Events

2012PCLogo2_small.jpg Team USA took the lead in the men's and women's team event after the opening three games Thursday at the 2012 PABCON Adult Championships. The USA leads Mexico by just 11 pins in the women's team event with 3,349 pinfall on the Stockholm pattern, while Mexico totaled 3,338. Venezuela is third with 3,073. On the men's side, Team USA leads Puerto Rico by 45 pins. The U.S. totaled 3,317, while Puerto Rico had 3,272. Canada is third with 3,22.

Alicia Marcano, John Janawicz win Singles titles at PABCON Combined Championships

2012PCJohnJanawiczAliciaMarcano_small.jpgAlicia Marcano and Team USA's John Janawicz won the women's and men's Singles titles in the opening event of the 2012 Pan American Combined Championships Monday at Sunset Station's Strike Zone in Las vegas. Janawicz had a monumental comeback in the final game to win the men's gold medal with with 1,449 six-game total and an average of 241.50. Marcano closed strong with games of 245 and 236 to claim the women's title with 1,368 (228 average).

Athletes from 18 countries will descend upon Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center in suburban Las Vegas for the 2012 PABCON Combined Championships. The event will serve as the qualifier for the 2013 WTBA Combined World Championships.

The championship is also a qualifier for the top eight countries plus the host country United States, who will compete in the 2013 Combined World Championships, which will be held in the same venue.

2012PCLogo_small.jpg The United States Bowling Congress, host federation of the 2012 PABCON Adults Championships has released the Bulletins No. 1 and 2 as well as a special Bulletin for the championships which will be held from May Aug. 18-26 in Henderson, Nev. The event will be hosted by Sunset Station Strike Zone inside Sunset Station Hotel and Casino. This championships will qualify the countries that will be allowed to bowl in the 2013 WTBA Combined (men and women) World Championships.

Team USA's Bill O'Neill and Chris Barnes shared the bronze medal. Both lost in the best-of-three games semifinals at Bolerama Tapatio. Cruz took down O'Neill, 2-0, while Barnes lost 2-0 to MacLelland.

Team USA wins Team and All Events golds at PABCON Men's Championships

2011PCMenTeamUSA_small.jpgThe Team USA men overcame a close battle with Puerto Rico to claim the gold medal in the coveted five-player team event Thursday at the 2011 Pan American Bowling Confederation Men's Championships. The United States won the gold medal with a six-game total of 6,772, (224.07) to top Puerto Rico's 6,642. Canada took the bronze with 6,584. Team USA's Bill O'Neill won the all-events gold medal with Canada's Dan MacLelland in second and Colombia's Manuel Otalora in third.

Canada's Dan MacLelland and Michael Schmidt took the silver medal with 2,742, while Puerto Rico's Bruno Diaz and Andro Simounet earned the bronze with 2,720.

Otalora earned the singles gold by shooting a six-game total of 1,463, an average of 243.8 at Bolerama Tapatío. Canada's Dan MacLelland (r.) took the silver with 1,431, and Team USA's Mike Fagan earned the bronze with 1,379.

2011PCMenOpening_small.jpgThe 2011 Pan American Bowling Confederation Men's Championships officially kicked off on Sunday night as the 16 countries in the event were recognized at the opening ceremonies. Traditional Mexican music (pictured left), speeches by bowling dignitaries and a ceremonial first shot by Ivan Sisniega, the Sports Director for the 2011 Pan American Games, helped usher in the event. The competition gets underway on Monday with the singles event.

Mike Fagan to make Team USA debut PABCON Men's Championships in México

The United States is sending a team of six of the top professional bowlers in the world to take on the rest of the American Zone in the Pan American Bowling Confederation Men's Championships, which begins Monday in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The 31-year-old right-hander cut open her hand on a broken thumb slug but was able to patch it up and push through the pain in a dramatic 2-1 victory over Colombia's Clara Juliana Guerrero (right) at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center.
