Harman led the Round of 64 in the 2008 ConstructionJobs.com Championship at the National Bowling Stadium with a 3,085 14-game pinfall to earn the top seed for Friday’s match play. The 33-year-old finished third in the 2007 Lake County Indiana Denny’s PBA Tour Trials last summer to earn his first career exemption.

Crayton debuts on PBA Tour with victory in Tour Qualifying Round

In his first career event as a PBA member, Crayton led the field in Wednesday's Denny's PBA Tour Qualifying Round with a 1,658 seven-game pinfall to earn a spot in Thursday's Round of 64 in the 2008 ConstructionJobs.com Championship at the National Bowling Stadium. The 2007-08 PBA Tour shooting star, Rhino Page, who had qualified through the TQR in six of seven events this season, failed to qualify.

2007PBA09RhinoPage_small.jpg 2007PBA09ParkerBohn_small.jpgRhino Page (right) may be carrying the torch for left-handed bowlers and the next generation of stars on the Denny's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour for years to come, but PBA Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III (left) showed Sunday that at 44 years old, he's still the man among the lefties. Bohn captured his 31st career Denny's PBA Tour title, defeating the rookie Page, 267-257, to win the 2007 Spartanburg Classic at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium.

Page earns No. 1 seed for all-lefty final in Spartanburg Classic

2007PITRhinoPage_small.jpg With each passing week on the Denny's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour, Rhino Page racks up another PBA record. This week, the non-exempt Page earned the No. 1 seed for Sunday's championship Round of the 2007 Spartanburg Classic, becoming the first bowler in history to advance to the finals twice after qualifying through the Denny's PBA Tour Qualifying Round. The 24-year-old led the field with an 8,025 32-game pinfall and a 12-6 match play record, earning an automatic berth in the title match of Sunday's stepladder finals.

Page leads Round of the 64 in the 2007 Spartanburg Classic

2007PBA09RhinoPage_small.jpg Things are going so well for Rhino Page these days, he's not only the top non-exempt bowler on the Denny's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour, he's starting to make a case for being one of the top bowlers on Tour, period. Page led the Round of the 64 in the 2007 Spartanburg Classic at Shamrock Lanes Thursday, compiling a 3,422 14-game pinfall for a 244.43 average to take the top spot into Friday's match play. The top 32 bowl nine games Friday morning starting at 11 a.m. after which the field will be cut to the top 16.

Rogers, Page lead TQR in Spartanburg

2007PITRhinoPage_small.jpg Steve Rogers took the first step Wednesday to getting back to the promise land, leading the field in the Denny’s PBA Tour Qualifying Round with a 1,656 seven-game pinfall to earn a spot in the Thursday’s Round of 64 in the 2007 Spartanburg Classic at Shamrock Lanes. Rogers (Bourbonnais, Ill.) has qualified through the TQR three times since his championship round appearance – including one previous time this season. Rhino Page (pictured) continued his incredible run through the weekly TQRs, finishing second with 1,651 to qualify for the Round of 64 for the sixth time in seven weeks.

Allen reaches career milestone; wins his 10th PBA title in Lumber Liquidators Championship

2007PBA08PatrickAllen_small.jpg Though he's still a long way from retirement, Patrick Allen (pictured left) may have cemented his future among the bowling elite on Sunday. Allen defeated Wes Malott, 247-217, to win the 2007 Lumber Liquidators Championship at AMF Country Club Lanes, capturing his 10th career Denny's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour title and making himself eligible for the PBA Hall of Fame once he retires. Allen took home $25,000 for the win and an exemption for the 2008-09 season.

The winner of the four-bowler opening match will face No. 4 Rhino Page (r.), a non-exempt bowler who advanced to is making his first career championship round appearance and will look to become the third bowler to win a title after advancing trough the Tour Qualifying Round.

Allen averages 242 to lead top 32 into match play portion in Lumber Liquidators Championship

Allen averaged over 242 in his 14 games Thursday to lead the field with a 3,400 14-game pinfall to take the spot heading into round robin match play in the 2007 Lumber Liquidators Championship at AMF Country Club Lanes. Match play gets underway Friday at 11 a.m. with the first of two nine-game round robin match play blocks. The top 16 after the first nine games will advance to the second block Friday evening.

Page breaks PBA record to lead TQR for the second consecutive week

2007PITRhinoPage_small.jpg Adding to what has already been a record-setting season, Rhino Page broke the Professional Bowlers Association’s (PBA) seven-game scoring record Thursday to lead the Denny’s PBA Tour Qualifying Round for the Lumber Liquidators Championship at AMF Country Club Lanes. Page averaged 269.00 over his seven games with a 1,883 seven-game pinfall, breaking the old record of 1,853 held by Jason Couch and Bobby Stives. He started the day with a 290 and later added back-to-back games of 300 and 299 which included a string of 29 consecutive strikes.

Walter Ray Williams wins his 44th career PBA title and becomes the first multiple winner this season

2007PBA07WalterRayWilliams_small.jpg The debate can finally end. Walter Ray Williams Jr. (pictured left) officially has more professional bowling titles than anyone in the history of the sport. Williams captured his 44th career Denny's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour title, dominating Chris Loschetter, 276-204, to win the 2007 Great Lakes Classic at Spectrum Lanes for his second title of the season. Williams earned $25,000 for his win. Loschetter (Avon, Ohio) earned $13,000 for second while Bohn (Jackson, N.J.) and Scroggins (Amarillo, Texas) took home $6,000 each for third and fourth, respectively.

Now she can add a professional championship to her resume. Asbaty, who wasn't even supposed to bowl this week, defeated Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, 236-225, to win the 2007 Great Lakes Classic Sunday at Spectrum Lanes, the fourth and final PBA Women's Series event of the season. Asbaty pocketed $10,000 for her win while Dorin-Ballard took home $6,000. Though she came up short on Sunday, Dorin-Ballard finished the series as the leader in points, earnings and average.

Walter Ray Williams is back on track in Great Lakes Classic

2006WalterRayWilliams_small.jpg After two weeks without a championship round appearance, Walter Ray Williams Jr. is back on track and adding to what is already one of the best starts to a season in his 25-year Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Hall of Fame career. The Denny's PBA Tour's all-time titles leader advanced to his fourth championship round in the last six weeks and will look to win title No. 44 Sunday as he defeated Billy Oatman, four-games-to-one, to advance to the championship round in the 2007 Great Lakes Classic at Spectrum Lanes.

The 2006-07 PBA Rookie of the Year averaged over 249 Thursday to earn the top spot in match play with a 3,491 14-game pinfall in the Great Lakes Classic. This week also features the fourth and final PBA Women's Series event, which features 16 of the best female bowlers in the world. Leading the field of 16 was Liz Johnson (r.), who finished with 3,028.

2007PITRhinoPage_small.jpg As a rookie on the Denny's PBA Tour, Rhino Page couldn't have found two better mentors than Patrick Allen and Parker Bohn III. The 24-year-old lefty has received some tutoring from two of the games' greatest left-handers this season which has led to Page having a breakthrough season and one that is shaping up to be the best for a qualifier in Denny's PBA Tour history. Page led the field in Wednesday's Tour Qualifying Round (TQR) for the Great Lakes Classic at Spectrum Lanes with a 1,762 seven-game pinfall to advance to the Round of 64 for the fourth time in five tries this season.

Smith comes back with victory in CLR Windy City Classic

2007PBA06RobertSmith_small.jpg Robert Smith, who missed almost the entire 2006-07 season, deferring his exemption due to a hip and back injury, defeated Brad Angelo, 223-205, en route to win the CLR Windy City Classic at Hawthorn Lanes in Vernon Hills, Ill. Smith, who hasn't won since early in 2004, claimed his 7th career Denny's PBA Tour title in his first championship round appearance since the 63rd U.S. Open near the end of the 2005-06 season. He earned the $25,000 top prize and one-season exemption.

Huge game in the position round propels Smith to the top seed in CLR Windy City Classic

2007RobertSmith_small.jpg After a huge win over Pete Weber in the position round at Hawthorn Lanes Friday night, Robert Smith was satisfied with the thought of being the No. 3 seed for Sunday's championship round in the Denny's PBA Tour's CLR Windy City Classic. Little did he know his 279 game had pushed him all the way from fifth in the standings to the top seed. Smith defeated Weber, 279-226, in the No. 5 vs. No. 6 seeding match to finish with a 13-5 record and a 7,644 32-game pinfall to earn an automatic berth in the title match of Sunday's stepladder finals.

Weber averaged 235.71 with a 3,300 14-game pinfall on Thanksgiving Thursday to lead the Round of 64 in the Denny's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour's CLR Windy City Classic at Hawthorn Lanes, taking the top spot heading into Friday's match play, where all pins from qualifying carry over.

One of the best stories of the day was Hawthorn Lanes proprietor and three-time Denny's PBA Tour champion Bill Spigner (right), who finished sixth with 1,602 to advance through the TQR for the first time in his career.

Haugen and Esterson break through with win in Lake County Indiana Classic

2007PBA05EstersonHaugen_small.jpg Exactly 365 days after falling just short of winning his first career title in honor of his dying grandmother, Michael Haugen Jr. returned to Lake County Indiana and finally captured that elusive Denny's PBA Tour victory. Haugen defeated Wes Malott, 247-239, to win the 2007 Lake County Indiana Classic pres. by United Way at Stardust Bowl II for his first title in 200 career events. In the third of four PBA Women's Series events, Joy Esterson defeated Liz Johnson, 10-7, in a one-ball sudden death roll-off after they tied at 226.
