    2012BECLogo_small.jpg The Brunswick Euro Challenge, which drew 399 players from 35 countries, was the fourth tournament on the 2012 European Bowling Tour schedule and one of only two "Platinum" events, the EBT's highest category. The BEC was also the seventh event of the 2012 World Bowling Tour and the second of three WBT events in Europe this season.

    The tournament offered total prize money of 106.000 Euro, approximately US $140,000 with 15.000 Euro going to the winner, 7.500 Euro to the runner-up and 5.000 Euro to the third place finisher.

    2012LVInternationalOpenLogo2.jpg The WTBA International Open, the first World Tenpin Bowling Association owned and operated event, was the third stop of the 2012 World Bowling Tour. The preliminaries, which were held Jan. 28 - Feb. 5, 2012 at Sunset Station's Strike Zone bowling center in suburban Las Vegas, drew 132 players.

    36 out of 50 exempt players of the 2011-12 PBA Tour participated in the WTBA Open including five PBA Hall of Famers eight PBA Player of the Year and ten PBA Rookie of the Year.

    The WTBA International Open featured a guaranteed prize fund of $100,000 with $20,000 going to the winner and $10,000 and $8,000 to the second and third place finishers, resp.

    Three multiple WTBA world champions, Women's U.S. Open winner Liz Johnson, 13-time PBA champion Chris Barnes and seven-time PBA Player of the Year Walter Ray Williams Jr. bowled for the title.
