48th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup berths for Wendy Bartaire, Thierry Sacco

Wendy Bartaire and Thierry Sacco won the French World Cup Qualifying Tournament Sunday in La Rochelle to earn berths into the 2012 QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup.
In the women's title match, Bartaire swept Isabelle Derynck, two-games-to-none, in the best-of-three games format to claim her first berth into the BWC. Sacco will represent his country for the fourth time after 2005 (Slovenia), 2006 (Venezuela) and 2009 (Malaysia) thanks to a 2-1 victory over Jonathan Lefevre.

The top 16 men and the top 8 women advanced to the single-elimination finals. Bartaire swept Marie Gauton in the quarterfinal and multiple French champion Isabelle Sacco in the semifinal on her way to the women's title. in the title match, Bartaire sealed the victory in two games, 215-171 and 235-225.
Sacco eliminated Nicolas Forestier in the Round of 16 and Julien Sermand in the quarterfinals in two games before he went the distance to defeat Vincent Cayez, 2-1. He lost the opening game in the title match against Lefevre, 254-279, but rebounded with back-to-back wins, 226-153 and 257-187 to wrap up the title.
The 48th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup will be held from Nov. 24 to Dec. 2 in Wroclaw, Poland.
