Mexico wins another three gold medals in doubles at CAMBOWL Junior

For the second consecutive day, Mexico won three out of four gold medals at the 2006 CAMBOWL Junior at CRTC Bowling Center in San José, Costa Rica.
Daniel Intriago/Marco Gastelum and Pamela Alvarez/Ana Rosa Gamboa swept the boys and girls Doubles titles in the Under 15 division and Patricia Contreras/Emma Castro won the title in the Girls Under 21 Division. Alberto Lizano/Diego Rojas won the first gold medal for the host country of Costa Rica in the Boys Under 21 Doubles.
Mexico continued to dominate the Under 15 division. Besides the two gold medals the Mexican youth bowlers also won both silver medals. Singles champion Intriago and Gastelum won the boys title with 1456, four-game total and an average of 182,00. Diego Lozano/Andre Fors were second with 1420 and Costa Rica's Esteban Sotela//Erik Roy captured the bronze, 1286.
On the girls side, Pamela Alvarez/Ana Rosa Gamboa outdistanced the field with 1429 and an average of 178,63. Singles champion Pamela Sandoval and Jimena Martinez earned silver (1278) with Adriana Serrano/Jennifer Cabrera from El Salvador in third at 1180.
El Salvador won silver and bronze in the Girls Under 21 division. Edith Quintanilla/Roxana Fajardo finished second at 1795 with Lys Harrison/Sabrina Serrano in third at 1779. Singles champion Contreras and Castro secured the title with 1857 and an average of 185,70.
Lizano/Rojas averaged 193,30 and felled 1933 pins over five games to win the title in the Boys Under 21 Doubles. Aldo Rivera/Luis Bendeck had 1873 to land in second place, while Isi Eskenazi/Jose Carlos Viruete collected another bronze medal for Mexico with 1811.
