Nine-time Team Canada member George Lambert IV, of Hamilton and seven-time Team Canada member Joe Ciach (pictured) of Mississauga will lead the Canadian contingent that will take on the best bowlers from 56 countries from August 21-31 in Bangkok.

Ciach and Lambert earned the right to compete at the 2007 National Championships in Montreal.

Ciach is a six-time Greater Toronto Bowler of the Year and has earned medals at the 1997 and 2006 American Zone Championships and the 1999 Tournament of the Americas.

Meanwhile, Lambert has earned several medals at international events and finished third at the 2006 United States Bowling Congress Masters against many pro bowlers.

The team will be filled out by national men's champion Mark Buffa of Montreal, 2006 national champion Jason Kovack of Windsor, Corey Clayton of Calgary, David Simard of Granby, QC, and (coach) Lucien Casagrande of Winnipeg.

The competition, involving more than 300 players, will be held SF Strike Bowl, a 42-lane center in Ngamwongwan, 30 minutes away from downtown Bangkok.

Players will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in six disciplines, including singles, doubles, trios, five-player team, all events and masters.
