European Bowling Tour unveils 2010 EBT Schedule

The Presidium of the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF) has announced the 2010 European Bowling Tour schedule, the 11th season in the organization's history.
The 2010 EBT includes 21 stops between January 2nd and December 18th, 2010 with return visits to all 15 venues from the 2009 season and six newcomers to the tour.
Headlining the changes to the 2009 season is the introduction of a new category and a name change of the three existing categories. The 2010 EBT Tour features one EBT Platinum tournament (formerly Premier), seven EBT Gold tournaments (formerly Major), 9 EBT Silver tournaments (formerly Challenger) and four EBT Satellite tournaments (new).
The 2010 campaign will traditionally kick off with the 40th annual Brunswick Ballmaster Open - the sole EBT Platinum event - in Helsinki, Finland, and ends with the 10th Qatar Bowling Open in Doha, Qatar one week before Christmas.

This marks the first time the Tour will visit Slovakia and Russia.
The total prize fund of the 2010 EBT will exceed 1.2 million Euro, an average prize fund of approximately 55.000 € per stop. Each EBT offers ranking points to the top 50 men and the top 50 women of the tournament. The top 16 women and the top 16 men at the end of the 2010 season will qualify for the 4th EBT Masters 2011, which will be hosted by the organizer of the 5th Qubica/AMF Open 2011 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, most likely in April 2011.
The 3rd EBT Masters will be hosted immediately after the conclusion of the 1st Austria Challenge at Plus Bowling in Vienna, Austria on May 3-4, 2010.
