Mubarak Al-Muraikhi starts 2006 Asian Bowling Federation Tour with victory in Qatar

The championship match of the first leg of the 2006 Asian Bowling Federation Tour was an all-Qatari affair. Mubarak Al-Muraikhi topped Jamal Al-Sahoti in a close match, 222-212, to win the title at the Qatar Bowling Center in Doha. Al-Muraikhi, who ousted No. 1 seeded Andrew Frawley, Australia, in the first round sidelined compatriot Abdulla Al-Qattan in the semifinals. Al-Sahoti advanced to the title match behind 203-201 victory over Hussain Al-Suwaidi.
