Team USA's Stefanie Nation, Sandra Gongora, Mexico, Anja Ginge Jensen, Denmark, and Krista Pöllänen from Finland battled it out for the gold medal in the Singles event at the 2009 Women's World Championships. Nation eliminated Pöllänen in the semifinals, 220-195, and Gongora flew past Ginge Jensen, 258-209.
