Oqab, Al-Suwaidi win Men's Doubles gold by the closest possible margin

    2009AIGLogo.jpgNaif Oqab and Hussain Al-Suwaidi earned the No. 1 seed for the Doubles finals in the 3rd Asian Indoor Games with a 46-28 win in roll off over Choi Bok-Eum and Kim Tae-Young. The Arabs met the Koreans once again in the title match and captured the gold medal with a 431-430 victory.

    Choi/Kim received the silver medal. Ryan Lalisang and Hengky Susanto, Indonesia, who lost in the semifinals to the eventual winners, 493-422, as well as Eric Tseng and Wu Siu Hong, Hong Kong, who fell to the Koreans, 492-385, shared the bronze medal.

    The 3rd Asian Indoor Games drew 73 men and 49 women from 20 countries, who will bowl for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles and 4-Player team event. The championships will continue on Wednesday with the Women's Doubles competition.
