Siti Safiyah Amirah (left), Malaysia, used a third-place finish in the 45th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Melaka, Malaysia, to leap into second place with 294 points. Hwang Sun-Ok (right), Korea, moved into third place with 292 points after an outstanding performance in the 5th East Asian Games.

Vanessa Fung slipped to fourth place (276), with Putty Armein, Indonesia, in fifth (261).

In the past ten years the top 8 women and the top 8 men from the 2008 ABR Rankings met with their counterparts from Europe and America at the World Ranking Masters to determine the top-ranked bowler in the world.

As the World Tenpin Bowling Association hasn't found a host/sponsor for the 2010 World Ranking Masters yet, there is currently no World Ranking Masters on the WTBA schedule for 2010. The deadline to find a host is Dec. 31, 2009.
