Kim Hyun Mi wins all-Korean Asian Youth Championships Girls Masters final from top seed

    2010AsYCBaekSeungJaKimHyunMiLeeYeonJi.jpgTop seeded Kim Hyun Mi (center) defeated Singles champion Baek Seung Ja (left) in the title match over two games total pinfall, 494-428, to claim the gold medal in the Girls Masters finals of the 15th Asian Youth Tenpin Bowling Championships Tuesday afternoon at Cozmo Bowling Center in Salmiya City, Kuwait.

    In an all-Korean final. No. 3 Baek ousted No. 2 Lee Yeon Ji (right) in the opening match, 236-216. When Kim started the final with a huge 279 game (to Baek's 223), the match was practically over. Kim cruised to victory with a 215-205 win in game #2. 31 girls from 8 countries - Australia, China, DPR Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore - competed for gold, silver and bronze medals in Singles, Doubles, 4-player Team, All Events and Masters.
