Mubarak Al-Muraikhi remains undefeated to win H.H. The Emir's Cup 2010

The Emir's Cup 2010 in Doha, Qatar, won three two-game matches decided by total pinfall en route to win the title and the 75.000 Qatari Riyal top prize (approx. $20,600). Al-Muraikhi, who won the Emir's Cup in 2007, defeated Naif Oqab in the championship match, 449-413.

In the semifinal, Al-Muraikhi, seeded third, ousted his compatriot, No. 2 seed Mansoor Al-Awamy, 459-357, thanks to a 269 in game two, the highest game of the finals. Oqab, seeded 4th, eliminated No. 1 seed, Remy Ong (right), Singapore, in the other semifinal match, 455-397. Al-Awamy won the rolloff for 3rd and 4th place against Ong, 440-365.

Oqab received 40.000 QAR for second place, Al-Awamy pocketed 20.000 for third and Ong garnered 10.000 for fourth.

The quarterfinal saw a rematch of the 2007 Emir's Cup final with Al-Muraikhi and Wu Siu Hong, Hong Kong facing off. The eventual winner survived a low-scoring encounter, 387-356.

The H.H. The Emir's Cup 2010 was contested at the Qatar Bowling Center from Feb. 25 - March 4, 2010 and drew 114 players from 17 countries.
