In the championship match, Al-Awami defeated Jassem Darwish (right), Kuwait, 237-200, to wrap up the title.

Al-Awami posted a couple of big scores on his way to the title match. In the opening round of 16 in single-elimination format, Al-Awami eliminated fellow Qatar national team member Yousif Al-Jaber, 257-226.

Khaled Al-Dubyyan, Kuwait, fell victim in the Round of 8, 254-175 and before Al-Awami eliminated the last local bowler, Mohamed Al-Serafy, in the semis, 233-185.

Darwish eliminated Dilbir Singh, India (211-155), Ayman Hashem, Egypt (214-172) and Karim Shaheen, Egypt (235-215) on his way to the title match.

The Egypt leg was the fourth event of the 2010 ABF Tour. It marked the first time that the ABF Tour visited Egypt. As in two of the previous three legs in 2010 only the men competed in Egypt. The sole leg featuring a men's and women's division so far was the third stop in Thailand. The fifth stop will be held May 9 in Bahrain.
