The 2009 European Championships Masters gold medalist became the second player to win multiple titles on the European Bowling Tour this season en route to overtake the other two-time winner, Mika Koivuniemi (right), Finland, by 90 ranking points.

Barrett, who has won the 4th International Wroclaw Open by Hammer in February, leads a field of 305 players from 45 countries after 9 out of 10 events with 550 ranking points. 8-time PBA champion Koivuniemi, who has won his EBT title No. 3 and 4 in the season-opening Brunswick Ballmaster Open and the 7th Istanbul Bowling Open two weeks ago, slipped to second place with 460 points. The "Big Finn" finished 18th overall and 14th in the men's ranking in Aalborg.

Catalonia Open winner Thomas Larsen (right), Denmark, leaped one spot into fourth place with 311. The feat came at the expense of 4-time EBT ranking champion (200-'03) Gery Verbruggen, who fell to fifth place with 291 after missing the first cut in Aalborg.

Sixth place still belongs to 32-time PBA champion and PBA and USBC Hall of Famer, Parker Bohn III, United States, who earned 260 ranking points with a 2nd place finish in the Brunswick Ballmaster Open and a 10th place in the Brunswick Euro Challenge.

The 2008 ranking champion cashed 12 points for finishing 32nd among the 50 women in Aalborg to lead a field of 199 women from 36 countries with 452 ranking point total.

Two-time EBT ranking champion Kamilla Kjeldsen (right), Denmark, missed the cut to the championship round by one spot to finish fifth overall and first in the women's ranking. Kjeldsen cashed 150 ranking points to leapfrog into 15th place with 209 total points.

Since the Ankara Open and the Austria Challenge have been cancelled, the 2010 EBT Tour consists of 19 events - 2 EBT Platinum tournament (formerly Premier), 6 EBT Gold tournaments (formerly Major), 7 EBT Silver tournaments (formerly Challenger) and 4 EBT Satellite tournaments (new category).

The winner of a Platinum tournament receives 250 ranking points, the winner of a Gold tournament such as the Bowltech Aalborg International 2010 gets 150, the winner of a Silver tournament gets 100, and the winner of a Satellite tournament gets 50 ranking points.

The top 50 men and the top 50 women in each tournament of the 2010 European Bowling Tour will cash ranking points no matter from which country or World Tenpin Bowling Association Zone (Europe, Asia, America) he or she comes.

The top 16 men and the top 16 women at the end of the 2010 EBT season will qualify for the 2011 EBT Masters to be held at Gladiator Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia, April 11-12, 2011.

2010NationsCupPaulMoor2.jpgThe top 16 from the 2009 European Bowling Tour rankings will stay in Aalborg for two more days to compete in the third EBT Masters Monday and Tuesday at Lovvang Bowling Center in Aalborg, Denmark.

3-time EBT ranking champion (2004-'06) Paul Moor (left), England, is the defending men's champion while Kamilla Kjeldsen, Denmark, has won both previous women's Masters.

The European Bowling Tour takes a break until July 27th when the 1st Track Dream-Bowl Palace Open will kick off at the Men's World Championship venue, Dream Bowl Palace in Unterföhring near Munich, Germany. The finals will be on Sunday July 4th.
