2009VOMaiGingeJensen.jpg2009VORobertAndersson.jpgDay one leader Mai Ginge Jensen (pictured left), Denmark, and Swede Robert Andersson (right) finished the 18-game preliminaries in the 3rd European Bowling Tour Masters 2010 Tuesday morning at Lovvang Bowling Center in Aalborg, Denmark, atop the women's and men's leaderboard and lead the top 8 players into the Round Robin Match Play finals.

Jensen won her second 400 Euro bonus on the combined oil pattern averaging 219.33 for the block and finished with 3906 pinfall total or an average of 217.00 for 18 games. Her compatriot, two-time defending EBT Masters champion, Kamilla Kjeldsen, was 58 pins behind in second place with 3848.

Another Dane, Rikke Holm Rasmussen (right), was a distant fourth with 3676 and was followed by current EBT ranking leader Nina Flack, Sweden in fifth place with 3673 and Krista Pöllänen, Finland, in sixth place with 3669.

Rounding out the top 8 were Kirsten Penny, England, and Britt Brøndsted, Denmark, with 3665 and 3646, respectively.

Andersson started the day in third position after finishing fourth on Pattern 1 and Pattern 2 yesterday. The world champion in Doubles (with Martin Larsen) averaged 235.83 on combined oil to win the 400 Euro bonus en route win the qualifying - worth another 400 Euro bonus - with 4146 pinfall total and an average of 230.33.

Day one leader Dennis Eklund, Sweden, slipped to third place with 3962 behind a sub-par performance on Tuesday morning.

Two-hander Osku Palermaa was fourth with 3944 and was followed by Tore Torgersen, Norway, with 3913 and Gery Verbruggen (right), Belgium, with 3901.

Thomas Larsen, Denmark, and Peter Ljung, Sweden, beat out Martin Larsen for the final two spots to advance by three and one pin, 2864 and 3862 to 3861.

The top 8 men and the top 8 women will determine the champion in round robin match play with the total pinfall from the preliminaries being carried forward. The men's and women's champion will receive the 4.000 Euro top prize.
