Canada will be one of a record 68 countries at the Men's World Championships

    CTFLogo2.jpgCanada will be one of a record 68 countries that are registered to compete in the 2010 Men's World Championships. The German Bowling Federation will host the event at the new 52 lane Dream-Bowl Palace in the city of Unterföhring in the outskirts of Munich, Germany from August 12-22, 2010.

    Canada's representatives earned the right to wear the 'red and white' at the 2009 Canadian National Championships which were held in Burlington, Ontario. All are experienced competitors and have represented Canada at international events.

    Mark Buffa, Montreal, Quebec is the 2007 national men's champion. Buffa was a member of Youth Team Canada at the 2004 World Youth Championships in Guam and bowled for Canada at the 2009 Men's World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.

    Jason Kovak, Windsor, ON has been a Team Canada member since 2003. He bowled for Canada at the 2003 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, the World Tenpin Team Cup in Odense, Denmark in 2006 and the Men's World Championships in 2008.

    Guillaume Nadeau, Quebec City, QC bowled for Canada at the 2005 Youth tournament in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

    Art Oliver Jr. , Hamilton, ON competed at the 2009 Pan American Confederation of Bowling Championships in Puerto Rico as a Team Canada member.

    Michael Schmidt, Winnipeg, Manitoba is the 2005 World Cup champion. Schmidt has been Canada's representative at the World Cup five of the last six years.

    John Sebastien Lessard, of Quebec City, QC bowled for Canada at the 1998 World Team Challenge in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, the 1999 Word Championships in Abu Dhabi, UAE and the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

    Lucien Casagrande, Winnipeg, MB and Frank Buffa, Montreal, QC will coach the team.
