Gablek, Kubalek win Austrian Bowling World Cup Qualifier

2010ESBCChristineGbalek.jpg2008EBT14BenjaminKubalek.jpgChristine Gablek and Benjamin Kubalek have won the Austrian Bowling World Cup Qualifier at Plus Bowling in Vienna and will represent their country at the 46th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup.

The prestigious annual event will be held from Oct. 15-24, 2010 in Toulon, France. Bowlingdigital will cover the BWC live from Bowling de Provence.

Gablek (pictured left) started her nine-game block with a 249 game and finished with 235 to win the women's division with 1667 pinfall total and an average of 185.22. Caroline Repolles was second with 1551 and Andrea Kadensky landed in third place with 1490.

Kubalek (right) had eight games between 200 and 258 and a low game of 180 at the end to win the men's division with 1980 pinfall total and an average of 220. Daniel Hahn was mere 26 pins behind in second place with his father Franz Hahn in third at 1892.
