AMF Pin Palace Lanes, a renovated 36-lane center located in Huntsville, Ala., will serve as the host for the 2007 United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Singles Championships, to be held May 20-22, 2007.

The USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships, which debuted in May 2004, features the top collegiate bowlers in the country competing for national titles. It replaced the Association of College Unions-International National Championships as the premier individual college bowling event supported by the USBC Collegiate program.

"We couldn't be happier to select AMF Pin Palace and Huntsville to host this elite collegiate event," Director of USBC High School & Collegiate Jeanne Klescewski said. "We look forward to bringing the best collegiate bowlers in the country to Huntsville and becoming a part of its rich bowling legacy."

AMF Pin Palace has hosted several tournaments throughout the years, including two Professional Women's Bowling Association events and numerous state and local tournaments. Huntsville also served as host of the 1997 American Bowling Congress Championships Tournament (now known as the USBC Open Championships).

It also is the home center of the Alabama A&M University women's bowling team, which was runner-up at the 2006 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship.

"We are very, very excited to host the 2007 USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships," AMF Pin Palace General Manager Linda Stafford said. "Bowling has always had a special place in the Huntsville community, and having the top collegiate stars in town can only help attract more interest in the sport."

Olympic Lanes in Milwaukee hosted the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships in 2004 and 2005, and will do so again May 21-23, 2006.
