Kelly Kulick (pictured) of Union, N.J., who won the 2010 PBA Tournament of Champions to become the only woman ever to win a PBA Tour title, will become the first bowler inducted into the Boys and Girls Clubs of America National Alumni Hall of Fame on May 1 at the Orlando World Center Resort Marriott in Orlando, Fla., as part of the organization's 2013 National Conference.

One-time PBA50 champion averages 251 to lead qualifying after second round; field is cut to top 32 for Tuesday's match play rounds

Croucher leads 32 players who advanced to Tuesday's match play rounds. Rounding out the top five were Bo Goergen, 3,988; reigning PBA50 Player of the Year and Hall of Famer Walter Ray Williams Jr., 3,886; Hall of Famer Amleto Monacelli, 3,861, and Don Sylvia, 3,856.

Scarborough starts PBA50 Sun Bowl in The Villages presented by Hammer with three consecutive 300 games; Mark Williams leads the field after first round qualifying

20130421PBA5002JoeScarborough300a_small.jpg Joe Scarborough of Charlotte, N.C., rolled three consecutive 300 games to start the first round of qualifying in the PBA50 Sun Bowl in The Villages presented by Hammer at Spanish Springs Lanes Sunday, recording the first 900 series in PBA history. Scarborough (l.), who turned 50 in October 2012, is bowling in only his second PBA50 Tour event. Three straight sub-200 games then toppled him out of the lead and into a tie for 12th place with 1,921 pins, 77 pins behind leader PBA Hall of Famer Mark Williams.

In the first tournament of the 2013 PBA50 Tour (formerly Senior Tour) season, Learn defeated PBA Hall of Famer Wayne Webb (r.) of Columbus, Ohio, 226-206, in the championship match to receive the $7,500 top prize.

BowlU unveils PBA Player Development Program

Camps to be held in seven PBA regions beginning this summer

Monacelli, the 2012 PBA50 Senior Rookie of the Year, finished qualifying with a 3,819 16-game pinfall total (238.6 average) to outdistance PBA Hall of Famer and four-time PBA50 Player of the Year Tom Baker by 117 pins who was second with 3,702.

Monacelli holds a 41-pin lead over three-time PBA50 Tour titlist Harry Sullins in second with a 1,812 pinfall total. The top 40 players after Tuesday's second-round qualifying will advance to match play on Wednesday.

When a painful battle with plantar faciitis, affecting his right foot, forced Motown's Mike Scroggins out of the lineup, Archer stepped in and helped the Muscle defeat the Dallas Strikers to advance to the Elias Cup title match.

Veteran PBA Tour announcing team to cover five events from Milwaukee

Ryan, who served as Voice of the PBA for five years (2002-07), joined CBS Sports Network in 2009 and has spent the past four years covering college football, basketball and baseball, college and professional lacrosse, as well as professional tennis.

The PBA League Elias Cup finals, which was contested March 31 at Woodland Bowl in Indianapolis, Ind., aired Sunday, April 7, on ESPN.

2013USBCTTWesleyLow_small.jpgWesley Low Jr., (pictured) at age 15, became the youngest bowler ever to win a PBA Regional title – breaking a 34-year-old record set by PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber in 1979 – when the two-handed competitor from Palmdale, Calif., defeated Deeronn Booker of Anaheim, Calif., 299-234, to win the PBA Non-Champion West tournament at South Point Bowling Center in Las Vegas on Friday, March 29. Low lost his bid for a perfect game in the title match when he left an 8 pin on his final shot.

New award to recognize PBA member's role in giving back to the public

Pete Weber wins Barbasol PBA Tournament of Champions for his 37th career title

PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber (pictured) of St. Ann, Mo., wrote another chapter in bowling history Sunday when he defeated Australian two-handed star Jason Belmonte, 224-179, to win the Barbasol PBA Tournament of Champions at Woodland Bowl. The victory made Weber the first player to complete the PBA Triple Crown for a second time and tied bowling legend Earl Anthony for most major PBA titles with 10. Weber's win Sunday was his 37th, tying him for third place on the PBA all-time titles list.

Doug Kent, Danny Wiseman inducted into PBA Hall of Fame during ceremonies in Indianapolis

2013PBAHoFLogo_small.jpgDoug Kent of Newark, N.Y., the winner of 10 PBA Tour titles, and 12-time champion Danny Wiseman of Baltimore were inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame for superior performance during ceremonies in Indianapolis Saturday night. Wiseman, 45, joined the PBA in 1987 and has earned just over $1.55 million. Kent, also 45, joined the PBA in 1988 and has earned just over $1.51 million during his career. In the voting for the 50 Greatest Players in PBA History in 2009, Wiseman was ranked 42nd and Kent 43rd.

Belmonte, who won his sixth career title and first major title in the USBC Masters in February, spent the fifth round in either second or third place before overtaking PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber of St. Ann, Mo., by seven pins in the 40th game. Belmonte averaged 238.05 for 40 games, posting a modest 8-7-1 match play record and a 9,777 pinfall total.
