Ending Walter Ray's record titles streak is a matter of pride to Dick Allen

Williams, a PBA Hall of Famer and 47-time Tour title winner, had won at least one title in 17 consecutive seasons before his streak ended in the Dick Weber PBA Playoffs.

Snappd.it provides self-serve creation of a mobile website along with a printable flyer which brings customers to the site via scanning of a QR code on a printed piece.

Midwest Region veteran Lennie Boresch Jr. realizes a dream in PBA Dick Weber Playoffs

Earns Playoffs Regional Championship berth to be telecast Sunday on ESPN at 1 p.m. EST

201011PBALennieBoresch_small.jpgAfter years of success on the Professional Bowlers Association Regional Tour, long-time PBA Midwest Region star Lennie Boresch Jr. (pictured) of Kenosha, Wis., will make his national television debut Sunday when the Lucas Oil Regional Championships round of the Dick Weber PBA Playoffs airs on ESPN Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern. Boresch, who earned his first PBA Tour exemption by finishing fourth in the 2010 PBA Regional Players Invitational, has won 24 titles at the regional level and was the 1997 and '98 PBA Midwest Region Player of the Year.

PBA Senior Tour returns to Florida to kick off 2011 season

Sold-out field to invade Winter Garden for Senior Don Carter Open

Heading up the 120-player field in Winter Garden will be PBA Hall of Famer and 2010 Senior Rookie of the Year Walter Ray Williams Jr. of Ocala, Fla. Qualifying rounds will be conducted April 18-20 and match finals rounds on April 21.

Ryan Ciminelli, Chris Warren capture regional titles

In Hubbard, Ohio, Ryan Ciminelli (l.) of Cheektowaga, N.Y., defeated Brian Kretzer of Dayton, Ohio, 233-226, to win the joint PBA Central/East Region Hubbard Open at Bell-Wick Bowl . In Grants Pass, Ore., Chris Warren (r.) defeated Kevin Foley of Reno, Nev., 215-196, to win the PBA Northwest Region’s Caveman Bowl Open on Sunday.

The ESPN telecast, featuring nine players competing for three berths in the PBA Playoffs Conference Championships on April 10, will air Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. Williams must beat Dick Allen and  Mika Koivuniemi to keep his titles streak alive.

Bowling centers sustain damage in Japan's earthquake, tsunami

PBAEst1958_small.jpgReports are sporadic and incomplete, but it appears the bowling community in Japan also is suffering severe ramifications from the powerful earthquakes and tsunami that struck the country on March 11. It may be weeks before a complete assessment is available, but an early report was provided by Eastern Sports Sales Manager Koji Yamamoto. "I'm safe after this tragedy, however many bowling centers in Japan have suffered a great loss from the earthquake."

Five of six top seeds advance to Sunday’s Regional, Conference Championships

Williams, who owns the PBA Tour record for career titles with 47, finished second in the four-player Central Region, to keep his title hopes alive. The Dick Weber PBA Playoffs is the final tournament of the 2010-11 Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour season.

Surprises dominate second round of Dick Weber PBA Playoffs

Hall of Famers Amleto Monacelli, Pete Weber eliminated

PBA Hall of Famer Amleto Monacelli (l.) of Venezuela was eliminated from the tournament in Round Two when he finished the six-game round in 10th place. The Dick Weber PBA Playoffs is six-tournaments-in-one, featuring six independent regional groups bowling elimination rounds within their respective regions.

Kelly Kulick takes charge among first round Dick Weber PBA Playoffs leaders

First round concludes Thursday morning with a final five-game session

201011PBAKellyKulick_small.jpgKelly Kulick (pictured) of Union, N.J., the only woman ever to win a Lumber Liquidators Professional Bowlers Association Tour title, took command of her regional group Wednesday after the first 10 of 15 games in the opening round of the Dick Weber PBA Playoffs at Western Bowl Wednesday. Kulick averaged 247.2 for 10 games for a 2,472 pinfall total to not only lead the Southwest Region into Thursday's final five first-round games, but to pace the entire tournament field.

Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour stars dominant in U.S. Open

During the 18 qualifying games in the 68th Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour, the 53 Exempt Tour players in the field averaged a composite 207.49, led by qualifying leader Bill O'Neill's 227.44 average. For the same 18 games, the 167 amateurs in the field averaged 184.71. ut of the 95 cashers, 41 of the 52 Exempt Tour players earned checks, while only 21 of the 167 amateurs made money.

Season's top PBA Tour, regional players ready for dramatic final event

LLPBATourLogo_small.jpgThe final event of the Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour's 2010-11 season gets underway Wednesday at Woodland Bowl when 156 PBA exempt players and PBA Regional competitors butt heads in a new Dick Weber PBA Playoffs. The inaugural PBA Playoffs will feature three "elimination" television shows leading into the final live telecast of the 2010-11 Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour season on Sunday, April 17, when the PBA Playoffs championship and its $50,000 first prize will be decided.

Jason Couch wins 16th PBA Tour title in PBA Mark Roth Plastic Ball Championship

Converts 6-7-10 split on the way to his first title since January 2007

201011PBA11JasonCouch2_small.jpgJason Couch (pictured) of Clermont, Fla., won his first Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour title in four years and the 16th of his career by defeating Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III, 219-175, in the championship match to win the PBA Mark Roth Plastic Ball Championship Sunday at AMF Thruway Lanes. Couch's last wins came in January 2007 when he won back-to-back tournaments in Las Vegas and Fountain Valley, Calif.

Mark Roth continues remarkable recovery from 2009 stroke

20110306MarkRothRecovery_small.jpgIn May of 2009, PBA Hall of Famer Mark Roth fell victim to a massive stroke that paralyzed his left side and left his family and friends wondering if he'd ever walk on his own again. The thought may have entered Roth's mind, but it left quickly as he began a determined battle to recover use of his body. The first signs of significant progress became apparent when he was able to attend the inaugural PBA Mark Roth Plastic Ball Championship in West Babylon, N.Y., in March of 2010.

201011PBA06SeanRash_small.jpgFour-time Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour champion Sean Rash (pictured) of Montgomery, Ill., averaged 236.14 to lead after two rounds in the PBA Mark Roth Plastic Ball Championship Thursday at AMF Thruway Lanes.The Mark Roth Plastic Ball Championship, which requires players to use identical "throwback" polyester (plastic) ball technology, is named in honor of the PBA Hall of Famer who dominated the plastic ball era in the 1970s. The field of 64 has been cut to 32 players who advance to Friday morning's match play round.
