Kritchawat, Chan capture men's and women's title in ABF Tour Tournament of Champions

Kritchawat Jampakhao, Thailand, captured the women's and men's title in the ABF Tour's season-ending Tournament of Champions at Jaya Ancol Bowling Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. Chan easily defeated the crowd's favorite
Shalima Zalsha, Indonesia, 218-168, to capture the women' title and $10,000. The men's final was an all-Thailand affair between the two qualifying leaders. No. 1 seed, Kritchawat Jampakhao topped No. 2
Surasak Manuwong, 203-174, to cruise to victory, worth $20,000.

The
Asian Bowling Federation Tour 2007 Grand Finals - the Tournament of Champions - arrives in Jakarta for the fourth time at Jaya Ancol Bowling Center, January 10-13, where the top 16 men and top 16 women bowlers based on their 2007 Tour rankings will be vying for glory. The ABF Tour Tournament of Champions will be broadcasted
LIVE on Indonesia Metro TV and the highlights of the finals will be televised later on local television channels of the seven countries where the tour was held.

The
2007 Asian Bowling Federation Tour will conclude with the Tournament of Champions featuring the top 16 men and the top 16 women from the ABF Tour rankings. The prestigious tournament will be contested at Jaya Ancol Bowling Center in Jakarta, Indonesia from January 10-13, 2008. The field is spearheaded by ABF ranking champions Ryan Lalisang, Indonesia and Kim Eun Jung, Korea.
As the Asian Bowling Federation is currently changing its webmaster, the ABF website is temporarily inactive.

Landslide victory for Lalisang, Kim in 2007 Asian Bowling Federation Tour rankings
The
2007 Asian Bowling Federation Tour consisted of six tournaments in Kuwait, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Indonesia and Hong Kong. The legs in the Arabic countries, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were for men only.
Ryan Lalisang (l.), Indonesia, and
Kim Eun Jung (r.), Korea, won the 2007 men's and women's ABF Tour rankings by a landslide. The top 16 men and the top 16 women in the 2007 ABF Tour rankings qualified for the ABF Tour Tournament of Champions.

Ryan Lalisang from Indonesia and Asia's No. 1 woman,
Kim Eun Jung, Korea, earned the men's and women's titles in the final 2007 Asian Bowling Federation Tour leg at Hong Kong Bowling City in Hong Kong, China. In a low-scoring men's title match, Lalisang defeated Yannaphon Larp-apharat, Thailand, 163-149. Kim, who survived a 157-155 opening match against Lily Suhaimi, Indonesia, topped Bernice Lim, Singapore, in the women's title match, 200-165.

Rivera and Lai cruise to victory in ABF Tour Indonesia leg

Biboy Rivera (l.), Philippines and
Lai Kin Ngoh (r.), Malaysia, flew past their opponents to cruise to victory in the Asian Bowling Federation Tour Indonesia leg, the fifth stop of the ABF Tour in the year 2007. Rivera defeated Wu Siu Hong, Hong Kong, 209-168 to win his first career ABF Tour title, while KN topped 2006 Asian ranking leader Putty Armein, Indonesia, 216-188, to win the Indonesia leg for the second time after 2005.

Tang Joh Six, Malaysia, won their four matches in single-elimination match play to claim the men's and women's title at the fourth stop of the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation Tour in Pasay City, Philippines. Oh (l.) saved his best for the last firing the high game of the event to defeat Asian Games champion Ryan Lalisang, 257-233. On the women's side, Six (r.) topped local favorite Marjo Reyes, 198-170.

Somjed Kusonpithak, Thailand, defeated his compatriot Kritchawat Jampakao, by two pins, 187-185, while
Kim Young Ju, Korea, won the women's championship match against Angkana Netrviseth, Thailand, by the closest possible margin, 203-202, en route to capture the titles in the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation Tour Thailand leg at SF Strike Bowl in Bangkok, Thailand.

Lalisang wins first stop of the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation Tour in Kuwait

Ryan Lalisang, the Asian Games champion from Indonesia, defeated Jason Belmonte, the two-hander from Australia, in the title match, 201-191, to win the first stop of the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation Tour in Kuwait.
Belmonte however set the TV highlights when he rolled a 299 game in the first round against Yannaphon Larp-apharat from Thailand and won in Round 2 in roll-off after a 234-234 tie vs. Yousif Akbar, Saudi Arabia.
