PBA announces Summer Series details
18 stars selected for team competition at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Ill.

The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and Six Flags announced today details of the
PBA Team Shootout Hosted by Six Flags Great America, the second consecutive summer the two have teamed up for a special event featuring some of the top stars of the Denny's PBA Tour. A total of 18 bowlers will compete in the made-for-TV team event which will air throughout the summer on ESPN.

Big payday for Parker Bohn III, wins $150,000 in Motel 6 Roll to Riches

With his three kids looking on – completely unaware of the magnitude of what he was doing –
Parker Bohn III secured his family’s future with six strikes on Sunday. Bohn defeated Norm Duke, six-strikes-to-five, in the final “Race to Six Strikes” to win the Professional Bowlers Association’s Motel 6 Roll to Riches special event, taking home the $150,000 winner-take-all top prize. The PBA Hall of Famer is fifth all-time with 31 Denny’s PBA Tour titles and ranks third with nearly $2.7 million in career earnings. But the $150,000 paycheck tripled any other top prize Bohn had secured in one day in his career.

PBA Skills Challenge to return in 2008
Eight bowlers to compete for $10,000 top-prize

The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) announced today the return of the
PBA Skills Challenge, a special event which features PBA stars attempting difficult spare conversions and trick shots. The 2008 PBA Skills Challenge will be taped following the live-ESPN televised finals of the 2008 Pepsi Championship at Thunder-Alley in Omaha, Neb., Sunday, Feb. 17, and after the finals of the 2008 Go RVing Classic at Norwich Bowling and Entertainment Center in Norwich, Conn., Sunday, March 9.

First block leader
Missy Bellinder (pictured, Fullerton, Calif.) maintained her lead to earn the No. 1 seed for match play in the 2007 Motor City Classic Women's Series. She will face No. 8 Olivia Sandham (Wichita, Kan.). The top eight women after two seven-game blocks advanced to Friday's Round of 8. Also advancing were 20-time PWBA titlist
Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, who finished second.
Liz Johnson (Cheektowaga, N.Y) and
Kelly Kulick (Union, N.J.) finished third and fourth, respectively.

Feldman leads 16 qualifiers into PBA Women's Series
National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev., United States (Aug. 13-18, 2007)

For
Michelle Feldman, the thought of additional women's bowling events is always on her mind. With the addition of this fall's PBA Women's Series, Feldman's wish is becoming a reality. Feldman will lead 15 other competitors who qualified for the series with their finish in the 2007 PBA Women's Tour Trials, which were being held in conjunction with the 2007 U.S. Women's Open, a United States Bowling Congress (USBC) event.

Duke, Williams cruise to victory in GEICO® PBA All-Star Shootout Hosted by Six Flags

On paper, the team of
Norm Duke (r.) and
Walter Ray Williams Jr. (l.) should have been dominant in the first outdoor Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) event since 2001. In reality, they were. Duke and Williams, two of the most decorated bowlers in history, completed their march through the special summer doubles event, sweeping the championship round matches against Tony Reyes and Robert Smith to win the GEICO® PBA All-Star Shootout Hosted by Six Flags at Six Flags St. Louis.

"Kokua Brothers" clinch second win in GEICO® PBA All-Star Shootout
Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Mo. (June 24, 2007)

Their team name means "good karma" in Hawaiian and so far in the GEICO® PBA All-Star Shootout Hosted by Six Flags,
Tony Reyes (left) and
Robert Smith (right) definitely have karma on their side. The "Kokua Brothers" improved to 2-0 in round robin match play with a 243-206 win over the "Southside Playas" team of Jason Couch and Billy Oatman to move one win away from the championship round.

Perfect ending of a dream season for Doug Kent, wins $150,000 in Motel 6 Roll to Riches
Sequoia Pro Bowl in Columbus, Ohio (April 15, 2007)

It's hard to top a season in which you win two Majors and set a career-high in earnings, but 18-year Denny's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour veteran
Doug Kent added to what was already a dream season. Kent defeated Norm Duke, six-strikes-to-three, to win the third annual Motel 6 Roll to Riches special event and take home the $150,000 winner-take-all top prize.

Another big payday for Chris Barnes, wins $200,000 in Motel 6 Roll to Riches
Main Event - Lewisville in Lewisville, Texas

If anyone knows how to make a season out of one day, it's
Chris Barnes. For the second consecutive season, Barnes won the biggest grand prize in Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) history, winning $200,000 by defeating Mike Scroggins, six-strikes-to-five, in the finals of the season-ending Motel 6 Roll to Riches Thursday night at Main Event - Lewisville in Lewisville, Texas. The final round consisted of a "Race to Six Strikes," with the first bowler striking six times taking home the top prize.

Tony Reyes earns exemption for 2006-07 Denny's PBA Tour
"The Final Frame"
Tony Reyes earned an exemption for the 2006-07 Denny's PBA Tour season by winning "The Final Frame presented by the Denny's PBA Tour," a special event held Sunday at ABC West Lanes. Reyes defeated Tore Torgersen from Norway, seven-strikes-to-five, in a 12-frame match without spare attempts. He earns $10,000 for the win.
