Beware the Charging Rhino!

I sat with
Rhino Page at Red Rock Lanes in Las Vegas and found that at the tender age of 24, this young person already has it together. Like his fellow TEAM USA members and the pro players, he has an overwhelming passion for the game and sport of bowling. In turn, bowling has been good to him thus far. Rhino Page decided to get his PBA card in October and has come within tasting distance of his first pro title, finishing twice in second place under the television lights.

Denny's PBA Tour Director talks about mini women's tour to take place in 2007

This week, the Professional Bowers Association (PBA) sat down with
Kirk von Krueger (pictured), Director of the Denny's PBA Tour, to discuss the upcoming PBA Women's Series, a special four event mini-season to take place during the 2007-08 Denny's PBA Tour season. The series, sponsored by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), will feature 16 women who will earn exemptions through the PBA Women's Tour Trials. The Tour Trials will be held in conjunction with the U.S. Women's Open, a USBC event, which takes place Aug. 13-18 at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev.

Kelly Kulick, who last year became the first woman to earn a full-season exemption on the Denny's PBA Tour, to discuss her return to the Denny's PBA Tour Trials. Kulick will attempt to repeat her historic feat May 29-June 3 at Stardust Bowl II in Merrillville, Ind., in the 2007 Lake County Indiana Denny's PBA Tour Trials.

One week ago, Sean Rash made history by becoming the first non-exempt Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) member to win a Denny's PBA Tour event when he captured the 2006 West Virginia Championship after qualifying for the event through the Denny's PBA Tour Qualifying Round. Bill Spigner, who has now hosted 20 PBA tournaments in his center. The 56-year-old ABC Hall of Famer has won three PBA National titles and finished second in the 1979 ABC Masters.
