Chan Shuk Han, Hussain Al-Suwaidi lead Asian Rankings with six events to go

Hong Kong's
Chan Shuk Han (left) and
Hussain Al-Suwaidi lead the women's and men's Asian Bowling Federation rankings after the conclusion of the Asian Championships in Hong Kong and the Men's World Championships in Bangkok, respectively. Shuk Han, who started the ranking season with victory in the prestigious ABF Tour Tournament of Champions, leads the ranking field of 167 women with 321 points. With six events to go, Al-Suwaidi (right), UAE, holds a dominating lead in the 487-player men's field with 493 ranking points.

Chan Shuk Han, Hong Kong, and
Andrew Frawley, Australia, lead the women's and men's Asian Bowling Federation rankings after six and ten events, respectively. Shuk Han (l.), who won the season opening ABF Tour Tournament of Champions, holds a comfortable 96 points lead over second-placed Putty Armein, Indonesia with 211 to 115 ranking points. On the men's side, Frawley (r.), a USBC silver level coach, holds a slim 3 point lead over Shaker Al-Hassan, 234 to 231

Belmonte, Eun-Jung claim 2007 Asian Bowling Federation ranking titles
Jason Belmonte (left), the two-hander from Australia and
Kim Eun-Jung (right), Korea, claimed the 2007 men's and women's rankings titles of the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF). Both players had to sit and wait for the results from the final ranking event, the 24th Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, as neither Australia nor Korea was eligible to participate. Opposite to Eun-Jung, who led the women's division by a wide margin, it was a nail-biting time for Belmonte, who finally beat out Ryan Lalisang, Indonesia, for the men's title by a single point.

Aussie bowlers storm to the top of the leaderboard in ABF rankings

After finishing 1, 2 in the 43rd QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Russia earlier this month, women's World Cup champion
Ann Maree Putney and men's runner-up
Jason Belmonte have positioned them selves atop the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation Rankings. Belmo leads the 572-men field with 380 points, while AMP has narrowed the gap to long-time leader Kim Eun Jung, Korea, to 18 points.

Siu Hong and Eun-Jung widen their lead in the Asian Ranking

With three quarters of the year completed,
Wu Siu Hong (left) from Hong Kong and
Kim Eun-Jung, Korea, have widened their lead in the men's and women's division of the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation ranking. The top 8 men and top 8 women at the end of the ranking season will qualify for the 2008 World Ranking Masters at Senayan Bowling Sportainment Center in Jakarta, Indonesia from April 30 through May 6, 2008.

Recent success propels Wu Siu Hong to the top of the Asian Ranking

After his victory in the Philippine Open and a second-place finish in the Emir's Cup in Qatar,
Wu Siu Hong (pictured left) from Hong Kong, has positioned himself atop the men's leaderboard in the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation ranking. The right-hander, who won the ranking twice (2001, 2003), has accumulated 214 points to overtake previous leader Jason Belmonte, Australia, by nine points. On the women's side,
Kim Eun Jung from Korea held onto the lead with 229 points.

Kim Eun Jung from Korea and Aussie
Jason Belmonte have positioned themselves atop the women's and men's Asian Bowling Federation rankings. Eun Jung, who has 188 ranking points, leads Vanessa Fung from Hong Kong (163) by 25 points. Belmonte has accumulated 205 ranking points and holds a comfortable 85 point lead over compatriot Jarrod Lean, who is second with 120 points.

Ong and Armein are the 2006 Asian Rankings champions
Remy Ong (l.) from Singapore and
Putty Armein from Indonesia won the 2006 men's and women's ABF rankings. After the ranking points given for the QubicaAMF World Cup were finally added Ong maintained a slim 8-point lead in the men's rankings while Armein held a dominating 135-point lead in the women's rankings.

Based on the latest rankings list released for the first half of the year on June 1, Zulmazran is ranked as the number one men bowler in the Asian region for the first time in his bowling career.

Shalin Zulkifli (not related) lead the 2006 Asian Rankings after the points for the World Ranking Masters were included. Four Malaysian men and six women are among the top eight who will qualify for the 2007 World Ranking Masters in Qatar.
