Al-Hajri and Al-Awadhi win first gold medals at West Asian Games

Saeed Al-Hajri of Qatar and Nadia Al-Awadhi, Bahrain, started the 3rd West Asian Games at Qatar Bowling Center in Doha, Qatar, with victory in the men's and women's Singles. Al-Hajri, who hasn't bowled for a year, celebrated a great come back and took the men's gold with 1361, six-game total. Al-Awadhi, who became the first Arab woman to reach a World Cup final in Slovenia last month, totalled 1091 to finish well ahead of the rest of the field.
