Wichita receives $41 million boost to local economy thanks to 2004 WIBC Championship Tournament events

 The Women's International Bowling Congress has announced that the 2004 WIBC Championship Tournament and the events surrounding it had an economic impact on the host city of Wichita, Kan., of nearly $41 million, according to a recently conducted survey.

85th WIBC Tournament wraps up competition in Wichita

Thunderbird Lanes and Northrock Lanes in Wichita, Kan.
April 15 through July 6, 2004

 Jacque Cantrall of Lexington, Neb., threw the final ball in the 85th annual WIBC Championship Tournament that concluded Tuesday afternoon, July 6th, after a 71-day run in first-time host city Wichita. The event's 42,298 participants competed for a prize fund of approximately $1.7 million, the highest outside Reno, Nev.
