Dominic Barrett and Donna Adams lead Team England rankings
Final Standings as of December 20, 2005

It's official now. The British Tenpin Bowling Association has announced that
Dominic Barrett (pictured) and
Donna Adams won the 2005 men's and women's Brunswick Team England rankings. The 2006 Brunswick Team England comprise players that have finished among the top 12 in the 2005 rankings and have played minimum eight events.

Cheung wins final BTE title in London PTBC Airport Challenge

Thomas Cheung defeated Nick Froggatt, two-games-to-one, in the championship match of the PTBC Airport Challenge in London en route to win the final ranking event of the 2005 Brunswick Team England season. Dominic Barrett and Donna Adams, who fell to Froggatt in the semis, finished as the 2005 BTE rankings leaders.

Pauline and Geoff Buck won the Doubles event at Morecambe Superbowl in Lancashire, England. The 8-game qualifying series counted towards the Brunswick Team England rankings.

Katie Jowsey wins PTBC Eliminator by a whisker
Charrington Bowl Tolworth, Surrey, England
Katie Jowsey won two close stepladder matches en route to claim her third Brunswick Team England title of the year in the PTBC Eliminator at Charrington Bowl Tolworth. In the championship match against No. 1 seed, Wayne Greenall, Jowsey finished with a big 275-game and a 280 total incl Hc. Greenall was even better posting a 279-game just to fall one point short of a tie.

Thornton and Banks win English World Cup qualifier
AMF Nottingham in Nottingham, England

The last July weekend saw the running of the English qualifier for the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup at AMF Nottingham. In the men’s event,
Steve Thornton came from 25th place in the first round to eventually finish 143 pins clear of second-placed Dom Barrett. The ladies event was even closer,
Fiona Banks triumphing by two pins on the back of a final round 236-game to defeat long-time leader Zara Glover.

Cundy outaveraged his nearest competitor, James Tidd, by more than 7 pins to cruise to the men's title. Harries topped Nikki Woods and 2004 BTE rankings leader Donna Adams. The tournament series is the qualifying for the 2006 English national squad.
