Generations Bowling Tour announces future plans
Second season not viable; GBT will organize a series of 4 to 8 events for 2008

The
Generations Bowling Tour (GBT) has announced that it is restructuring its operation for 2008 to continue offering bowlers age 50 and over high-level competition. Although the GBT's first season had many successes the lower than expected entry levels made it obvious a second senior tour was not needed. The GBT is organizing a series of 4 to 8 events for 2008 targeting a field of all levels of senior bowlers.

Ozio, Eagle, Roth and Atria earn Generations Pro Bowling Tour year-end awards

The
Generations Pro Bowling Tour has named
David Ozio the 2007 Player of the Year;
Dale Eagle as the 2007 Classic Division (60+) Player of the Year;
Mark Roth as the 2007 Comeback Player of the Year and
Vinnie Atria as the 2007 Rookie of the Year. The announcement was made by Steve Sanders, Founder of the GPBT, which awarded more than $800,000 in prize money during its inaugural 17 event season.

The story of the
Generations Pro Bowling Tour's (GPBT) inaugural season included dominating performances, memorable comebacks and the typical challenges facing a new Tour. The new senior professional tour, the brainchild of promoter Steve Sanders, conducted 17 events from October 2006 through April 2007 and distributed nearly $900,000 in prize money. Plans for the second season will be announced shortly at Bowl Expo in Las Vegas at the end of June.

Atria ends inaugural GPBT season with victory in Houston
Emerald Bowl in Houston, Texas (April 21-23, 2007)
Vinnie Atria won his second Generations Pro Bowling Tour title by defeating likely GPBT player of the Year, David Ozio, 245-224 in the championship match of the Generations Pro Bowling Tour 2007 Championship at Houston's Emerald Bowl. Atria earned $9,000 for the victory. Ozio cashed for $4,500 to boost his money total to $86,300 for GPBT's first season.

Ozio wins his third GPBT title in Texas Open
Interstate Lanes in Round Rock, Texas (April 14-16, 2007)
David Ozio is in the driver's seat now toward becoming the first Generations Pro Bowling Tour Bowler of the Year. He defeated last week's winner, Dave Soutar, 239-212 at Interstate Lanes in Round Rock, Texas Monday evening to win the $8,000 top prize and his third GBT title. He is now tied with Dale Eagle with three titles, and one of his was a major in Toledo early in the season.

Soutar and Painter lead KR Strikeforce Open Qualifying

Dave Soutar won his first career Generations Pro Bowling Tour title in style, defeating Don Patterson 289-221 in the championship match of the KR Strikeforce Open at Northrock Lanes, Wichita, Kan. Soutar earned $8,000 for the victory.

Davis wins his first GPBT title in Columbus Open
HP Lanes in Columbus, Ohio (March 16-19, 2007)

The Generations Bowling Tour has a new champion from it's Classic Division. PBA Hall of Famer
Dave Davis, 64, defeated David Ozio, 203-194, Monday evening at HP Lanes in Columbus, Ohio, to win the Columbus Open and his first GBT title to go with his 18 PBA crowns from his Hall of Fame career. Davis earned $8,000 for the victory, and Ozio got $4,500 as runner-up.

Brazeau wins his first GPBT title in Indiana
Georgetown Lanes in Fort Wayne, Ind. (March 10-12, 2007)
Brian Brazeau turned 50 years old on January 17, and on March 12 he won his first Generations Pro Bowling Tour title in the GPBT Indiana Open. In the title match, Brazeau (left), a pro shop operator and sales rep for Morich Bowling Products, defeated PBA Hall of Famer Gary Dickinson (right), 234-214. Brazeau earned $8,000 and Dickinson claimed $4,500 as the runner-up.

Eagle wins third GPBT crown in Michigan Open

Dale Eagle (l.) is the winner of the GPBT Michigan Open. After very high scores the entire event, Eagle and Texan
Mark Estes (r.) squared off in a hard fought title match that went down to the final frame, with Eagle winning 190-174. Eagle earned $8,000 for his third GPBT title. Estes took home $4,500.

Henry stops Ozio's run to win GBPT Kegel Classic
Kegel Training and Tournament Center, Lake Wales, Fla.
Michael Henry of Brunswick, Ohio, was the only one who could stop the David Ozio juggernaut, beating him 249-218 to capture his first professional title in the Generations Pro Bowling Tour Kegel Classic Jan. 16 at the Kegel Training and Tournament Center.

The Generations Pro Bowling Tour (formerly the Generations Bowling Tour) has announced a new format which will allow more bowlers to compete and win money. The changes were announced by Steve Sanders, founder of the GBT.

Eagle wins his first GBT title in East Providence Open
E. Providence Lanes in E. Providence, RI (Nov. 17-21, 2006)

It was a classic finish for the Generations Bowling Tour's inaugural Fall Swing –
Dale Eagle defeated Johnny Petraglia 259-257 in a thrilling championship match at East Providence Lanes. Eagle earned $13,500 for the victory and Petraglia took home $8,800. The victory gave Eagle a total of $43,900 in earnings for the six GBT events he bowled on the fall swing.
