Remy Ong crowns himself King of Asian Games; Shalin Zulkifli wins women's Masters

Singapore's
Remy Ong bagged his third gold medal at the 14th Asian Games in Busan, Korea, when he defeated Mubarak Al-Muraikhi, Qatar, 231-211 in cthe men's Masters finale. In an all-Malaysian women's title match,
Shalin Zulkifli topped teammate Lai Kin Ngoh, 209-197.

Japan (men) and Korea (women) triumph in Team event; No medals for All Events winners Ong and Soo-Kyung
Homeplus Asiad Bowling Center in Busan, South Korea (Oct. 3-9, 2002)

Isao Yamamoto, Seiji Watanabe, Shigeo Saito, Masahiro Hibi and Hirofumi Morimoto won the first gold medal for
Japan in the prestigious 5-player Team event at the 14th Asian Games in Busan, Korea. The
Korean women underlined their status as the No. 1 in Asia with a 177-pin victory over the Philippines.

Kim Yeau-Jin to win the second gold medal for Korea in the women's trios.
