Patrick Allen isn't quite ready to relinquish his Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Player of the Year title just yet. Allen won his second title of the season, defeating Patrick Healey Jr., 259-193, in the title match of the Great Lakes Classic at Spectrum Lanes. Allen captured his seventh career title and $40,000.

Walter Ray Williams Jr. couldn't have picked a better time to finally tie Earl Anthony's all-time Denny's Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour titles record. Williams earned his 41st career Tour title to tie Earl Anthony for the all-time lead, defeating Pete Weber, 236-213, in the 2006 Denny's World Championship at Woodland Bowl. Williams' seventh Major title also gives him $100,000 and a four-season Tour exemption.

If Norm Duke has learned anything in his 24 years on the Denny's PBA Tour, it's how to deal with setbacks. In his seventh TV appearance of the season, Duke finally broke through with his first title of the season and the 23rd of his career, defeating Chris Loschetter, 275-221, in the title match of the 2006 Ace Hardware Championship at Taylor Lanes. Duke earned $40,000 and an exemption for the 2006-07 season.

Experience did not come into play Sunday, however, as Collins got the best of the PBA Hall of Famer and denied him his 41st career title, capturing his first career title with a 245-201 win in the 2006 Pepsi Championship.

New York native Doug Kent captured his second career Denny's PBA Tour title in his home state, as he defeated Norm Duke, 222-201, in the title match of the 2006 GEICO Classic at AMF Thruway Lanes. Kent, from nearby Newark, N.Y., won his 7th career Tour title and his first since the 2002 Empire State Classic in Latham, N.Y. "It's been a long year and a half for me," said Kent, who earned $40,000 and an exemption for the 2006-07 Tour season.

Tommy Jones leaped to the front of the line in the race for the 2006 Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Player of the Year award after winning his first career Major event, the 63rd U.S. Open Sunday at Brunswick Zone Carolier. Jones, who leads the Tour with four victories this season, defeated top-seeded Ryan Shafer in the title match, 237-223, clinching the $100,000 top prize and securing a spot on the Denny's PBA Tour through the 2008-09 season.

What a day for Sean Rash! The 23-year-old former Team USA member became the first winner of a Denny's PBA title who came from the Pre-Tournament Qualifier. Rash defeated Mike DeVaney in the championship match of the PBA West Virginia Championship, 194-178, to win his first PBA title in his first event TV appearance, the $40,000 top prize, an exemption for next year's PBA Tour and a berth into the Dexter PBA Tournament of Champions.

 Tommy Jones won his third Denny's PBA Tour title of the season as he defeated Mike Scroggins in the title match of the 2006 Bayer Atlanta Classic, 224-191, Sunday at Brunswick Zone Norcross. Jones, who won $40,000, leads the Tour with three victories. The 27-year-old from Simpsonville, S.C., now has seven titles over the past two seasons.

For PBA Hall of Famer Brian Voss, "24" was Sunday's key number. Voss, in his 24th season on the Denny's PBA Tour, snapped a 24-event winless streak and earned his 24th career title with a 237-190 win over Steve Wilson in the title match of the 2006 Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Classic at Lightning Strikes.

It was a battle of youth against experience in the title match of the 2006 Motel 6 Phoenix Classic, and the fight wasn't decided until the final frame. Ritchie Allen, 27-years-old, defeated Del Ballard Jr., a PBA member since 1982, 232-207, to win his second career Denny's PBA Tour title Sunday at AMF Christown Lanes.

With his back against the wall, Jason Couch was clutch all day long. Couch defeated 30-time PBA Tour title winner and fellow left-hander Parker Bohn III in the title match of the 2006 Dick Weber Open stepladder finals, 241-214, Sunday at Fountain Bowl. Couch, who earned $30,000 for the win, needed a one-ball, sudden death roll-off in the semifinal to defeat 22-time title winner Norm Duke.

Brian Himmler came through in the clutch, picking up a 3-6-10 spare in the 10th frame to defeat Mika Koivuniemi in the title match of the 2006 Earl Anthony Medford Classic, 214-204, Sunday at Lava Lanes. The victory gave Himmler the $40,000 top prize and his fourth career PBA title.

Mike Wolfe won his second career Denny's PBA Tour title, defeating Chris Collins in the title match of the 2005 Empire State Classic, 268-214, Sunday at Spare Time - Clifton Park. Wolfe earned the $40,000 top prize and an exemption for the 2006-07 Tour season, while Collins earned $20,000 for second.

The defending PBA Player of the Year Patrick Allen earned his first title in the 2005-06 Denny's PBA Tour season and his sixth career title with a 247-218 win over PBA Hall of Famer Tom Baker in the title match of the 2005 Keystone State Championship Sunday at ABC West Lanes. The PBA Tour moves to Clifton Park, N.Y., for the 2005 Empire State Classic, Dec. 14-18.
