International Bowl Expo 2007 - a smashing success
By Joe Lyou (Tenpin Slants)

By all accounts,
International Bowl Expo 2007 was a smashing success. Staged annually by the BPAA (Bowling Proprietors' Assn. of America), which is celebrating its 75th (diamond) anniversary this year, Bowl Expo was held June 23-28 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, Casino & Convention Center. Hall of Fame writer Dick Evans reports that 5,538 individuals attended the '07 Bowl Expo. That's a remarkable 6% increase over last year and included proprietors, bowlers and writers from several foreign countries.

75th BPAA Convention may have been No. 1 By Dick Evans

A record 5,538 signed up for the
75th Bowling Proprietors Association of America Convention that had something for everybody. That was up six percent over 2006, which was eye opening since the BPAA convention traditionally shows a slight decrease its second straight year in Las Vegas. If Quarterback Peyton Manning was the cornerstone to the Colts' Super Bowl victory, then Executive Director John Berglund was the foundation of the six-day BPAA convention that featured a lot of scoring plays.
