2007 MCC 

Italians cruise to victory in team event at Mediterranean Challenge Cup

Rollhouse Bowling Center in Mersin, Turkey (March 27-April 3, 2007)

2007MCCLogo_small.jpg Singles champion Nunzio Romano rolled the field-best 1402 six-game series to lead his team mates Raffaella Fusco, Chiara Roiati and Federico Rossi to the team title in the 2007 Mediterranean Challenge Cup at Rollhouse Bowling Center in Mersin, Turkey. The four Italians totaled 5117 pins, an average of 213.21.

Malta with Sue Abela, Joanna Attard, Mark Spiteri and Brian Farrugia took the silver medal with 4920 (205.00). The Maltese fired a huge 890 including Spiteri's 275 in the final game to secure the second place. It was the third silver medal for Abela in as many events.

Charline Boiteux, Florie Biguet, Xavier Lotthe and Emmanuel Michaud from France were mere seven pins behind Malta with 4913 (204.71) to earn the bronze medal. Michaud led the way with a 1348 series.
