Brunswick Euro Challenge moves from Greece to France
Europe's richest bowling tournament and one of the European Bowling Tour's "Majors", the 90.000 Euro Brunswick Euro Challenge, will move from Thessaloniki, Greece to France in the year 2008. The 2008 BEC will be held from March 7-16, 2008 at Plaza Bowling in Saint-Maximin. The 28-lane Brunswick-equipped bowling center is located about 40 km north of Paris at the Route A1 and approx. 25 km from Roissy-Charles De Gaulle International Airport.
The tournament will be hosted by the Valcke family and will include some clinics such as ball drilling and lane maintenance seminars,
According to General Director Luc Valcke and his son Henri the tournament format and prize fund will basically remain unchanged. As an extra, the Valcke family is hoping to welcome one or two of Brunswick's PBA stars in Saint-Maximin.
The 2007 Brunswick staff consists of Parker Bohn III, Mika Koivuniemi, Sean Rash, Brad Angelo, Tom Baker, Johnny Petrolia and Patrick Girard.
