2007 Asian Rankings
Recent success propels Wu Siu Hong to the top of the Asian Ranking
After his victory in the Philippine Open and a second-place finish in the Emir's Cup in Qatar, Wu Siu Hong (pictured left) from Hong Kong, has positioned himself atop the men's leaderboard in the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation ranking. The right-hander, who won the ranking twice (2001, 2003), has accumulated 214 points to overtake previous leader Jason Belmonte, Australia, by nine points. Asian Games champion Ryan Lalisang is third at 194.
On the women's side, Kim Eun Jung (right) from Korea held onto the lead with 229 points. Vanessa Fung, daughter of ABF Honorary President Vivien Fung, is second with 183 followed by Kanako Ishimine, Japan, 150. The top 8 men and top 8 women at the end of the ranking season will qualify for the 2008 World Ranking Masters scheduled to be held at Senayan Bowling Sportainment Center in Jakarta, Indonesia from April 30 through May 6.
