Danes set the pace after Squad 2 has completed the Trios event at the Women's World Championships

Britt Brondsted, Kamilla Kjeldsen and Mai Ginge Jensen (l-r) from Denmark rolled games of 726, 632 and 610 on the short-oil pattern to set the pace in the Trios event at the Women's World Championships in Mexico. The Danes, who had a 1918 3-game total on long oil yesterday, added 1968 on the short pattern to lead the field with 2 squads to go with 3886 pinfall total and an average of 215.89. Colombia with Rocio Restrepo, Paola Gomez and Laura Fonnegra is a distant second with 3643 (202.39). Team USA's Diandra Asbaty, Stefanie Nation and Shannon Pluhowsky currently sit in second place with 3637 (202.06).
Their team mates, Lynda Barnes, Shannon O'Keefe and Tennelle Milligan (l-r) led the field of 69 trios after the first block with 1950 or a 216.67. All they need is a repeat performance in the second three-game block to overtake the Danes. Click on the image to enlarge it.
