Rasmussen sets the pace in Singles event at Women's World Championships

With one of four squads having completed their six-game block on the long oil pattern, Rikke Holm Rasmussen sets the pace in the Singles event at the Women's World Championships in Monterrey, Mexico, The Dane had games of 212, 225, 170, 199, 221 and 258 for 1,285 pinfall total and an average of 214.17. Hong Su Yeon from Korea is second with 1,271 (211.83). Pan Yu-Fen, Chinese Taipei, closed out her series with a huge 279, the highest game of the Singles event thus far, to take the third place with 1,269 (211.50).
The Women's World Championships features 225 athletes from 43 countries competing in six events - Doubles, Trios, Team, Singles, All Events and Masters. Individual totals from Doubles, Trios, Team and Singles are combined to determine the All Events winner. The top 16 in All Events also advance to Masters play.
