The All Events silver medalist seeded second, defeated Trios champion Malin Glendert, Sweden, three-game-to-none in the single-elimination best-of-five match play format.
Two more matches were decided after four games. 2003 Masters champion Diandra Asbaty, United States, came back from a 125-201 in game one to eliminate 1999 Masters champion Ann-Maree Putney, Australia, 3-1. Lynda Barnes, the third of four Americans in the finals, fell victim to Kim Yeau Jin, Korea, 3-1.
The other five matches went the distance. No. 16 seed Diana Alfredsson, Sweden led 2-1 against All Events champion and No. 1 seed Choi Jin A, but the Korean survived the challenge as she rolled to big games, 244 and 253, to take the match away, 3-2.

Shalin Zulkifli, Malaysia, led 1-0 and 2-1 against Adriana Perez from the host country. The Mexican closed out the match with two consecutive wins, 225-171 and 226-218, to cruise to victory, 3-2.
