2007 Asian Rankings 

Siu Hong and Eun-Jung widen their lead in the Asian Ranking

2007KSAIOWuSiuHong_small.jpg 2007ABFT06HKGKimEunJung_small.jpg With three quarters of the year completed, Wu Siu Hong (left) from Hong Kong and Kim Eun-Jung, Korea, have widened their lead in the men's and women's division of the 2007 Asian Bowling Federation ranking.

Siu Hong, a two-time Asian ranking champion (2001, 2003), claimed another major title when he won the 33rd Hong Kong International Open on his home ground to lead the men's rankings with 340 ranking point total.

Ryan Lalisang
(right), who captured the Asian Bowling Federation Hong Kong leg, is mere three points behind Belmonte in third position with 297 points.

2007YannaphonLarpapharat.jpg 2007KSAIOMubarakAlMuraikhi_small.jpg Daniel Lim, Malaysia, moved into fourth place behind a runner-up finish in the Singapore Open with 220 points. Yannaphon Larpapharat (left), Thailand, made up some ground in the last three months to jump into fifth place with 206.

Rounding out the top 8 men are three Arab bowlers, 6. Fadhel Al-Mousawi, Kuwait, 192 7. Hussain Al-Suwaidi, UAE, 189 and 8. Mubarak Al-Muraikhi (right), Qatar, 179.

Kim Eun-Jung used her victory in the ABF Hong Kong leg to widen her lead in the women's rankings to 118 points. The Korean, who has already won the 2007 ABF Tour rankings, has accumulated 353 points.

Malaysians Wendy Chai (right) and Shalin Zulkifli, members of the gold medal team in Mexico, moved into third and fourth place with 224 and 214 points, respectively. Putty Armein, Indonesia, is fifth with 212.

2005WWCChoiJinA_small.jpg Vanessa Fung.jpg Choi Jin A (left), Korea, the most winningest player in the 2007 WWC with two gold medals (Doubles, All Events) and one bronze (Trios) rocketed into sixth place with 210 pints.

Rounding out the top 8 are Vanessa Fung (right), Hong Kong, with 205 and Jazreel Tan, Singapore, with 201 points.

The top 8 men and top 8 women at the end of the ranking season will qualify for the 2008 World Ranking Masters at Senayan Bowling Sportainment Center in Jakarta, Indonesia from April 30 through May 6, 2008.
