2007SEAZaitonOthman.jpg The Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress (MTBC) have set a target for their team to win four gold medals in the SEA Games but deputy chef-de-mission Zaiton Othman thinks it is a very modest one.

Pep talk: Deputy chef-de-mission to the SEA Games Zaiton Othman having a word with the national bowlers at Bukit Jalil Thursday.

"Bowling have been the most consistent team in terms of achieving good results.

"And we look forward to a big gold-medal haul from them in Thailand," said Zaiton after meeting the bowlers in Bukit Jalil yesterday.

"Their two top senior men, Azidi Ameran and Ben Heng, have quit the sport. But the others, including several back-up bowlers, have done well. A four-gold target is modest one indeed. I think they are capable of winning more."

Malaysia's best medal haul in the biennial Games 7-6-2 in 1999 Games in Brunei. At the last Games in Manila, they returned with a haul of 3-3-3.
